The words AI uses when it recommends a local business (2026 study)
In 136 real answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity about 20 local businesses in 18 cities (27 September – 2 October 2026), the reasons most often given for recommending a business were quality (63% of answers), reviews and ratings (58%), being a specialist (54%) and years in business (51%); price came up in only 17%.
